Become a Host Family!
We are SO grateful for your willingness to open up your home to our students. With the help of wonderful people such as yourself, we are able to not only offer camp to more kids, but also provide them an opportunity to really connect with the local community in such a beautifully personal way. Thank you for offering up your warm hearts and warm homes.
As a host family we request the following accomodations for each individual student:
(Note: To keep the kids accountable, host families must host at least two students)
Some things to know about host family housing:
Curfew - You can expect campers to be home each night by their 10 o’clock curfew. We will conduct nightly phone calls to ensure that students are home on time. Students may stay up after curfew to quietly rehearse their music or wind down. Though it’s not expected, if students are late for curfew, staying up too late or leaving in the middle of the night, please contact our mentor team's phone number so we can help correct their behavior.
Expect Respect - Students should keep their personal items in their private areas and not in public spaces. They should be quiet when there to not disturb you or your home.
Visitors - Only those students that have been assigned to your home should be in your home. No other students/people without your permission are allowed in your home. Please notify us if this is happening so we can remedy the situation and ensure it does not happen again.
Food - All meals and snacks will be provided for students at the Academy. So, though food is welcome, it is by NO means expected.
If you have any concerns about your guests at any point, please contact our mentor staff at our main office line as listed on our contact sheet. They will be available 24 hours a day.
